Sports Injuries

If helping people with improving their health is our calling, then sport is our passion. Getting you back to back on the field, pitch or pool is what excites us. We like to see our clients come out the other end of rehabilitation with greater capacity than what they had before their injury.

Strength and conditioning are an integral part of sports rehabilitation and so we use various strength and conditioning principles such as periodisation, education and tapering into your recover so that you can run faster, jump higher and push stronger.

Experience you can trust.

Our physiotherapists all have a background of sports related physiotherapy and have extensive knowledge in treating recreational and elite athletes and the wide range of athlete injuries that can occur. We know you want to get back to the sport you love as quickly as possible. Our focus is to help you achieve that ambition but also to do it safely to minimise the risk of further injury. The team also has a network of highly skilled Sports Doctors and Surgeons to give you the best outcome.

All our physiotherapist have also undergone a mentoring from Andrew Cooke, who has over 15 years’ experience in clinical practice and elite sports environments such as Australian Rugby, NRL and AFL.

  1. Treat Symptoms

We understand how much pain can impact our lives- especially when it pulls you away from something you love, like sports. So our first goal is to always relieve your primary symptoms- usually pain relating to stiffness, tightness, inflammation etc.

Our therapists will use the latest and best assessment and treatment techniques to treat your symptoms quickly and effectively.

2. Restore Strength & Full Function

The second stage of rehabilitation is to completely restore your range of motion and strength. This is arguably the hardest and most important step - one which Mend therapists specialise in.

3. Return to Sport + Long-term Prevention.

Our primary focus in stage 3 is to get you back to sport and as you were before. Be it in our onsite training centers or at home, we will set you up with an individualised, integrated and progressive strengthening program that is specific to your sport.
